Ugh, was your mini-lesson 30 seconds too long?
Sorry.
To think there was a time in NYC when you could go for ages without being observed. I think I went two years once.
A "U" for time management? Why do these administrators do this? Children are not robots. Lessons flow with the needs of the class and the requirements of the lesson. I am rarely able to complete a lesson as designed due the varying (and sometimes unexpected) needs of my students. I do stop for the teachable moment. I don't end a unit until my assessments indicate a relative level of mastery. Evidently, this equates to DOE incompetence.
Time management? Bah.
